Hi, I’m Angie — Founder & Owner of The Amara Lotus Collective offering Postpartum Doula services throughout the Eastern Shore.

I am a Registered Nurse with an extensive background in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), maternal-child health, maternity case management, and leadership in maternity case management. During this time, I have had the privilege of supporting mothers, babies, and families through some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments.

My experience includes bedside as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU nurse), serving families through maternity and postpartum support, supervising a maternity care coordination team, and advocating for improved maternal and infant outcomes through community-based public health initiatives. I am a Certified Postpartum Doula with a deep passion for compassionate, evidence-based support for new mothers and newborns. I have seen firsthand the need for support for new families in the postpartum period, as this is often where support dwindles, yet moms and families need it most. Additionally, not everyone has a “tribe”. That is where I step in.

Through The Amara Lotus Collective, I now focus exclusively on postpartum doula and newborn care services — providing nurturing, nonjudgmental support during the transition into parenthood. My goal is to help families of all design feel confident, rested, educated, and supported during the transition home and the postpartum period.

Services are offered throughout Alabama’s Eastern Shore and surrounding communities, with support tailored to each family’s unique needs. Whether you need overnight newborn care, postpartum recovery support, NICU transition care/support, breast or feeding support/guidance, emotional support, or simply an experienced helping hand to help you get rest and recover, I am honored to walk alongside you during this season.
